Introduction to Commercial Lending

Our two guest speakers will give an Introduction to Commercial Lending, which  covers standard documentation and financial metrics for C&I and Commercial Real Estate loans with example scenarios. Additionally, the presentation will highlight typical loan facilities and structures for each loan.”

Kyle Smith is a Commercial Portfolio Manager for North State Bank. Mr. Smith has been in commercial banking since 2014, with previous employment at Capital Bank and BB&T. He has years of experience in underwriting, loan structuring, credit risk management, customer service, and on-going servicing of commercial portfolios.

“Banking, and in particular lending, is my calling. Most companies rely on credit solutions to help with everything from day-to-day cash flow to financing for large investments. I enjoy working alongside my customers to find the best solutions to meet their goals.”

 

John Norwood is a seasoned commercial banker with over 25+ years of lending experience. Currently, John serves as the Market President for the North Raleigh division of North State Bank, where he has worked for the past nine years. Prior to his time at North State, John was a Commercial Real Estate Lender for Bank of America. Mr. Norwood prides himself in providing hand-crafted lending solutions for new and existing customers.
