Estate Planning 101s & Introduction of SECURE ACT

Individuals and Small business owners do need an estate plan or a business succession plan so that you can leave your hard-earned legacy wisely with the ones you loved, but also able to attach necessary strings so that the estate will be administered in the way you like, and with the values you cherished. Individuals also need to make sure they appoint a trust-worthy guardian for their children so that minors can be taken care of with the legacy without court’s involuntary interference.

Small business owners who has set up or thinking of setting up a retirement plans, and individuals who nested their assets mostly in their retirement accounts, e.g. IRAs, 401Ks etc. may want to come and know the recent changes of the SECURE ACT, and to understand how this recent rule changes will add tax benefits for your business, and how it might burdensome your next generation’s tax liability by leaving an estate in your retirement accounts.

Estate planning attorneys Fiona Wang and Financial Advisor Maria Litzinger will jointly present the above knowledge to you, so that you are equipped with what you need to know about estate planning basics and the new rule change.

Biography Introduction: As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, I enjoy the opportunity to work with my clients on their financial goals. I bring a unique perspective to my practice as I was an Edward Jones client for over a decade prior to becoming a financial advisor. While originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Apex has been my home for 14 years now. I have the pleasure of being married to my wonderful husband, Brian, and we have two elementary school children who keep us very busy with their activities in and out of school. I enjoy traveling, reading, working out and spending time with family and friends. I am very involved with activities with the Apex Chamber of Commerce, several local and national charities and my church.
