On January 22nd, 2009, Dr. Xiaodong Wang, founder, Chairman and CEO of PharmaAdvance,
Inc., and BioPharmaAdvance, Inc. will be presenting a seminar to NCCBA members
and friends. Dr. Wang will focus on the business opportunities and environment,
how to start a business and how to conduct business in China. He will also
illustrate the business opportunities as well as issues and concerns people
may have when they start or do business in China, using pharmaceutical industry
and his personal experiences as examples.
The presentation will benefit not only people who are in the pharmaceutical
and medicine field, but also those who are interested in doing or setting up
business in China. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions towards
the end of the presentation.

Directions: Take I-40 to Durham Freeway Route 147
Take the Durham Freeway (Route 147) North, the sign reads "Exit #279B,
147 North, Durham."
Take the next exit (to the right), exit 6, marked "Research Triangle
Park, Cornwallis Road."
At the end of the exit, turn right onto Cornwallis Road.
Continue through the first light (at the entrances to Glaxo Wellcome to both
the right and left), and continue for about 0.2 miles - the entrance to MCNC
is on the right-hand side, few hundred yards after the "CREE" sign
at left hand side of the road. At the entrance, there is 3021 and a small
triangle with MCNC. (If you get to the next traffic light which is at the
intersection
of Cornwallis and Alexander, you have just passed MCNC!)
Once you've turned into the MCNC driveway,

Speaker Bio
Prior to founding PharmaAdvance and BioPharmaAdvance, Dr. Xiaodong Wang has
served in research and management positions at Proctor & Gamble Pharmaceuticals
and Icagen, where he led drug discovery efforts in the areas of cardiovascular,
anti-inflammation, anti-glaucoma, and pain diseases.
In 2006, Dr. Wang went back to China and found PharmaAdvance, Inc., a privately
held pharmaceutical technology service provider in the areas of synthetic,
medicinal, and process chemistry. In 2008, he found BioPharmaAdavnce, Inc.,
a subsidiary of PharmaAdvance, Inc., providing services in biology and pharmacology.
Under his leadership, PharmaAdvance and BioPharmaAdvance are becoming one of
the leading integrated pharmaceutical CROs in China. Currently, PharmaAdvance
and BioPharmaAdvance have 60 staff and research scientists and 50,000 sq ft
state of the art facility, providing preclinical services for over 20 pharma
and biopharma companies around world. Dr. Wang is also a co-founder of two
other Chinese pharmaceutical technology companies including Wanlian and Changfeng,
specializing in pharmaceutical formulation.
Dr. Wang received his Ph. D. in chemistry from Ohio State University in 1994.
