Business in China, A Personal Journey and Experience.” In this seminar,
Mr. Michael Chen, VP of Corporate Marketing at Red Hat and former General Manager
of Red Hat China, will share with the audience his hands-on knowledge of starting
a business in China.

SPEAKER BIO
Michael Chen
Vice President, Corporate Marketing
Red Hat
Michael Chen is responsible for leading Red Hat's global corporate marketing
functions, which include corporate branding, global communications, customer
experience management, online strategy, and community affairs. Prior to this
role, Michael was the General Manager of Red Hat, China. In this role he carried
P&L responsibilities, led overall operations - including strategic planning,
sales, marketing and government relations in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong markets.
He was also a key member of Red Hat's APAC Management team where he contributed
significantly to Red Hat's global channel, marketing, and sales strategy. Michael
started his career at Red Hat as a product marketing manager in 2003 where
he co-managed the Linux product line for Red Hat Enterprise. In all of his
roles with Red Hat he continues to provide valuable input for Red Hat's global
strategy
Prior to working with Red Hat, Michael held several senior sales and marketing
management positions within Chinese and Hong Kong based companies. He facilitated
multi-million dollar sales and landed significant projects
Michael holds an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
a Masters degree in Computer Network Engineering from North Carolina State
University, and a Bachelors degree from Nanjing University.
