is Proud to Present a seminar on: China's Stock Market
(Presented in Chinese & English)
We all know that China is experiencing tremendous economic growth in recent
years. However, do you also know that recently China's stock markets slumping
to 8-year lows. How this happened and what’s behind it. According to
lots of experts, considering Chinese Yuan’s recent development, now maybe
it is great time to enter into the Chinese stock market. If you look around
recent US magazines and news media, China is believed to be the next big thing.
We are very glad to have experts in the field – Mr. Victor Zhu (who was
also one time NCCBA member) from China to go through all of these questions
and issues related to China’s stock market and its potential development.
Currently Mr. Zhu is Executive Director at China Euro Securities Limited in
Beijing. We are very grateful for Mr. Zhu who will use his short vacation time
in North Carolina to share with us about China's securities market and how
to raise capital from China's securities market and how to invest into China's
securities market.
Speaker: Mr. Victor Zhu has more than nine years’ working experience
in government and business sectors which gave Mr. Zhu profound understanding
of the securities industry in theory and practice for Chinese security market.
Mr. Zhu worked in China Securities Regulatory Commission-CSRC and The Securities
Association of China-SAC from 1995 to 1999. During this time, Mr. Zhu joined
the team to draft China’s first securities law. He was also in charge
of analyzing financial and legal segments of institutional applications for
operation in domestic securities market. After that, Mr. Zhu joined First Capital
Securities Company as Vice President. He designed and led the capital expansion
of the company through strategic mergers and acquisitions and successfully
increasing registered capital from $10 million to $100 million dollars. At
the same time, he was also involved in two initial public offering projects
and one merger & acquisition project. His rich working experience help
him maintain friendship with a large number of leaders and executives in the
securities industry and other areas. In year 2004, Mr. Zhu got his MBA degree
from The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University and then worked at Merrill
Lynch as a financial consultant. Mr. Zhu joined China Euro Securities Limited
in Beijing from October, 2004 as Executive Director. Mr. Zhu graduated from
the graduate school of the Chinese Academy of Social Science (Beijing, P.R.China),
majored in Money and Banking, and Beijing Technology and Business University
(Beijing, P.R.China), majored in International Trade.

Driving Directions:
1. Directions from Raleigh or locations south or east of RTP.
Take I-40 West, toward Chapel Hill/Durham. Take the Durham Freeway (Route
147) North, the sign reads "Exit #279B, 147 North, Durham." Take
the next exit (to the right) marked "Research Triangle Park, Cornwallis
Road." At the end of the exit, turn right onto Cornwallis Road. Continue
after the first light (entrances to GlaxoSmithKline to both the right and left)for
about 0.2 miles - the sign of the entrance to MCNC is on the right-hand side.
The MCNC auditorium is next to the front entrance of the building.
2. Directions from Durham, Chapel Hill, or locations north or west of RTP:
Take I-85 to the Durham Freeway (Route 147). Take the Durham Freeway (Route
147) South to the Cornwallis Road Exit. At the end of the ramp, make right
turn on to Cornwallis Road. Go through the first light if it was not red (entrances
to GlaxoSmithKline to both the right and left), and continue for about 0.2
miles - the entrance to MCNC is on the right-hand side, just after the yellow "Signal
Ahead" sign.The MCNC auditorium is next to the front entrance of the building.
