Chinese philosophy, which began around 2100 b.c. has greatly influenced many
civilizations. Consequently, the approach and manner in conducting business
is quite different than many would expect from the Western perspective. For
example, did you know that Chinese business people do not directly say no to
you? The Chinese people also would not directly accept a gift even though they
would love to have it. These are just a few examples that are vital to understanding
the many nuances of Chinese philosophy, history and its business culture. It's
a history that has been steeped for thousands of years in tradition.
